Plagiarism

Al-Musyiri: Journal of Da'wah Management

Plagiarism Policy

Al-Musyiri: Journal of Da'wah Management upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. The journal strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism and unethical citation practices in submitted manuscripts.

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Copying text, data, tables, figures, or ideas from other sources without proper citation.

  2. Paraphrasing substantial portions of another author’s work without appropriate acknowledgment.

  3. Self-plagiarism (reusing one's own previously published work without proper citation or disclosure).

  4. Submitting a manuscript that has been published or is under review elsewhere.

  5. Fabrication or falsification of data and references.

Similarity Check

All submitted manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate, or similar tools). The acceptable similarity index is:

  • Maximum 20% overall similarity, and

  • No more than 5% similarity from a single source,

excluding references, bibliography, and commonly used methodological phrases.

Manuscripts exceeding the acceptable similarity threshold will be returned to the author for revision or rejected outright, depending on the severity of the issue.

Editorial Actions

If plagiarism is detected:

  • Before publication: The manuscript will be rejected, and the author may be prohibited from submitting to the journal for a specified period.

  • After publication: The article may be retracted, and a formal retraction notice will be published. The author's institution may also be notified if necessary.

Author Responsibility

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original works and properly cite all sources. By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

  • The work is original and has not been published elsewhere.

  • All sources are appropriately cited.

  • The manuscript complies with ethical research and publication standards.
