Author Guidelines

1. General Information

Al-Musyiri: Journal of Da’wah Management is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes original research articles, conceptual papers, and critical studies in the field of Da’wah Management. The journal is published periodically and accepts manuscripts written in English (preferred) or Bahasa Indonesia.

Submitted manuscripts must not have been published previously nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

2. Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts:

  1. Original Research Articles
    Empirical studies based on qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods research.

  2. Conceptual / Theoretical Papers
    Scholarly discussions that develop theoretical frameworks in Da’wah Management.

  3. Literature Review Articles
    Critical and systematic reviews of recent developments in the field.

3. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:

  1. Title

    • Concise and informative

    • Maximum 16 words

    • Written in bold, 14 pt

  2. Author(s) Name

    • Full name without academic titles

    • Affiliation (Department, Institution, Country)

    • Email address of corresponding author

  3. Abstract

    • Written in English (and Indonesian for Indonesian manuscripts)

    • 150–250 words

    • Clearly state: background, objective, method, findings, and conclusion

    • No citations

  4. Keywords

    • 3–5 keywords

    • Separated by semicolons (;)

  5. Introduction

    • Background of the study

    • Research problem

    • Literature review (state of the art)

    • Research objectives

  6. Method

    • Research design

    • Data collection techniques

    • Data analysis methods

  7. Results and Discussion

    • Clear presentation of findings

    • Analytical discussion

    • Comparison with previous studies

    • Theoretical implications

  8. Conclusion

    • Summary of findings

    • Contributions to Da’wah Management

    • Recommendations (optional)

  9. Acknowledgments (if any)

  10. References

4. Formatting Guidelines

  • Manuscript length: 5,000–8,000 words

  • Paper size: A4

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • Paragraph spacing: 0 pt before and after

  • Text alignment: Justified

Tables and figures:

  • Numbered sequentially

  • Include clear titles

  • Cite sources if applicable

5. Citation and References

  • Use APA Style (7th Edition)

  • All references must be cited in the text

  • Minimum 15 references

  • At least 60% must be from scholarly journals

  • Preferably published within the last 10 years

Examples:

Journal Article:

Book:

6. Ethical Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must be free from plagiarism (maximum similarity 20%).

  • Authors must ensure originality and proper citation.

  • Any form of data fabrication, falsification, or duplicate submission is strictly prohibited.

  • Authors must disclose any potential conflict of interest.

7. Submission Process

  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS).

  • Authors must register as an author before submission.

  • All submissions undergo:

    1. Initial editorial screening

    2. Double-blind peer review

    3. Revision process (if required)

    4. Final decision by the Editor-in-Chief

8. Review Process

  • Double-blind peer review system

  • Review process takes approximately 4–8 weeks

  • Possible decisions:

    • Accepted without revision

    • Minor revision

    • Major revision

    • Rejected

9. Article Processing Charges (if applicable)
